Quail are friendly, inquisitive and amusing birds. Rarely still, they move around the aviary investigating every nook and cranny. They love to forage or bathe in a sand bath, and the males constantly display to the females, demonstrating their prowess with colour, song, and offerings of food to the females. Californian Quail

Mountain Quail

Californian Quail hatched from eggs produced by my aviary birds. I have birds for sale ranging from 2-day old chicks to 28-day old young adults. They are and will need to be under heat until 28-days old. These birds are larger than the button quail, and much prefer to fly to a perch at height to survey the territory. The males calls are not excessively loud but are a joy to hear. All are healthy colourful birds feeding well on chick crumb and egg food, including seed, millet, vegetables, boiled egg and mealworm as they progress. Can be sexed at an early age as the males have a distinctive black bib and the females are not as colourful as the males being always brown. All birds from 20-days old are birth and brood ringed. These delightful birds are priced age and sex dependent at £ 15.00 to £ 25.00 EACH. They can be sold as Pairs or Trios at special prices. The females will start to lay between 8 and10 weeks old, laying one egg per day.

Button Quail

Chinese Painted Quail hatched from eggs produced by my aviary birds. I have birds for sale ranging from 2-day old chicks to 28-day old young adults. They are and will need to be under heat until 28-days old. All are healthy colourful birds feeding well on chick crumb and egg food, including seed, millet, vegetables, boiled egg and mealworm as they progress. Can be sexed at around 28- old, up to this age its an educated guess. All birds from 20-days old are birth and brood ringed. They are priced between £ 6.00 - £ 10.00 EACH, age/sex dependent. They can be sold as Pairs or Trios at special prices. The females are available as white, fawn speckled, and brown speckled, and will start to lay between 8 and10 weeks old, laying one egg per day.

Coturnix Quail

They are and will need to be under heat until 28-days old. These are larger than the Chinese Painted Quail but equally attractive. All are healthy birds feeding well on chick crumb and egg food, including seed, millet, vegetables, boiled egg and mealworm as they progress. Can be sexed at around 28-days old, up to this age its an educated guess. All birds from 20-days old are birth and brood ringed. They are priced between £ 6.00 - £ 10.00 EACH, age/sex dependent.
